The Palmer Sculpture Biennial

The Palmer Sculpture Biennial will be open for four weeks from March 17th to April 15th 2018 on weekends and Wednesday afternoons and is an item in the Adelaide Festival Fringe.

The opening ceremony (1:00 pm March 17th) will be followed by the Verandah Music Event with music specially composed for the Palmer Landscape by James Swanborough and colleagues, followed by well known performers Andrew Allanson, The Yearlings, Jennifer DeGrassi and Kelly Menhennet.

Find us 3.5 kilometres from Palmer down the Davenport Road which starts opposite the Palmer Hotel on the way to Mannum.

We can now unveil the list of artists who’s works you will see at the 2018 Palmer Sculpture Biennial. They are:

Four overseas artists – Carlotta Brunetti from Germany, Karl Chilcott from Sweden, Peter Lundberg from the USA and Titus Eichenberger from Switzerland.

Five interstate artists – Jennifer Cochrane from WA, Sally Kidall from NSW, Flossie Peitsch from Victoria, and Amanda Stuart from the ACT

and from South Australia – Mary Ann Santin (our emerging artist), David Atkins, Greg Johns, David Kerr, Stephen Lloyd, Phillip McGillivray-Tory, Ray Meandering, The Union Street Sculptors, Astra Parker, Tim Shaw, Deb Sleeman, Westley Tully, Nicholas Uhlmann, Ronda Wallis, Clancy Warner and Lorry Wedding Marchioro.

Also, there will be indigenous works from the Peramangk community and the Tiwi Islanders. And in the hut there will be a photographic exhibition by Michal Kluvanek, one of South Australia’s leading photographers. https://palmersculpturebiennial.org/archives-2/
